China Office Coordinator
Wanling Qu, China Office Coordinator, has a strong background in U.S.-China relations in addition to extensive first-hand knowledge of the University of Minnesota. She has been an advocate of academic, business, and cultural exchange between China and the U.S. since the early 2000s when she was director of the Freshman Program at the Cultural Exchange College of Sichuan International Studies University (SISU). SISU is also where she completed her undergraduate education in international business and English. She received her M.A. in human resources and industrial relations from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management. Wanling’s professional background includes working for premier institutions of higher education and large corporations in both China and America. Wanling speaks fluent Chinese and English, and is passionate about rapidly and effectively advancing the China Office’s mission.
China Office Assistant
Lin joined the China Office in February 2014 to support the China Office coordinator in both the daily operations and overall development of the office. Her duties include assisting the coordinator to strategize on student engagement and outreach activities in China, promoting U of M’s alumni network in China and organizing alumni-oriented activities, managing the China Office website and other social media platforms, and running general office errands. Previously, she worked as a program officer at the Confucius Institute Headquarters London Office. In development and education administration, she has experience in event coordination, data maintenance, news writing, and stewardship. Lin has a B.A. from Nanjing University of Finance and Economics and a M.A. from the University of Westminster.
